The soundtrack to raising a cold glass of lemonade to your lips in the hot month of August, “Remember to Save” combines tinkling, pitched-down piano keys with sample chops of an operatic Italian voice over a chopped up classic drum break with ambiguous ambient noises woven in between. Interpret the title how you will, the cover art of “Remember to Save” clearly speaks to an old school, lofi, boom Bap aesthetic consistent with the sonic texture of the track, with stacks of floppy disks next to the archetype of 90’s beat making, the Akai MPC 2000XL, gently prompting beat makers to protect their beats and save their work, whether on classic beat machines like this one or on modern DAWs.

This track was made in Copenhaven, Denmark after performing live with the homey James Baand at a local venue, and we decided to make a track. The vocal version contains classic rap sample acapella and viral video sensation snippets that you won't find on DSP's.
